My friends took me around the
neighborhoods in Manhattan to a Ukrainian restaurant for brunch, little shops and the big
bookstore called The Strand, gelato, then the Staten Island Ferry to see the
iconic Statue of Liberty. As night fell, I went to a Free Music Monday concert
at a local church, where the Scandinavian band Dreamers' Circus was fabulous,
and then snow was falling as I left.
